NewlonFusion_CMYK processAre you a Newlon resident looking for work? Then we can help.

We are aiming to support 100 people a year who are currently out of work into employment.

Our community regeneration partner, Newlon Fusion, have a dedicated team of employment advisors and partnerships to support and mentor you into work, as well as apprenticeship and bursary opportunities. We can also give you advice in setting up your own business, or to help you work from home.

There are many ways we can help you find a job, and we work with a number of partners to achieve this. Don’t worry about which one is best for you – just get in touch and we’ll handle the rest!

Apprenticeships

Outward, our care and support partner, have an ongoing apprenticeship programme for Newlon residents, open to all ages. These provide paid work experience at Support Worker level, as well as training to get an NVQ at level 2 or 3.

Reed

Reed provide a programme to train young people in vocational sectors such as retail, customer service and business culture, and help with CV writing and interview practice. They also provide on the job support.

MLB Learning Solutions

MLB provide one-to-one advice on managing and setting up your own business, and has a peer-mentoring group running twice monthly which delivers master classes, where people can share ideas.

iWork

iWork is an employment support programme for Newlon residents in Islington which offers help to find work, and advice regarding housing and money. It aims to ensure people are in the best position to get and keep a job.

Myworksearch

We’re encouraging residents to use the ‘Myworksearch’ recruitment tool. It brings together vacancies from across the web and sends them directly to you. What’s more, those who use Universal Jobmatch as part of their Job Centre Plus requirements will find that both programmes interact, meaning you save time while meeting all your job-seeking obligations.
