Hale Village wins at London in Bloom Awards

London in Bloom Awards 2019One of Newlon’s largest developments, Hale Village in Tottenham, was awarded gold in the 2019 London in Bloom Awards. In addition it was overall winner in the Urban Community category as well as the ‘Greener Streets, Better Lives’ award – scoring maximum marks.

London in Bloom is about celebrating and recognising the passion Londoners have for greening our Capital city.

The key aims of the campaign include:

  • Making Greater London a greener and more pleasant place to live and visit.
  • Recognising the work of volunteers who support and care for many of our parks, squares, and green spaces, both large and small.
  • Working to increase the biodiversity of Greater London
  • Building stronger and more vibrant neighbourhoods through community gardening projects
  • Developing and sharing best practice

Entries come from local authorities, community groups, friends of parks groups and schools across the region.
