Free training for involved residents

Do you want training or ways to develop your skills in relation to resident involvement activities?

If you are a member of a residents’ association or one of our panels or forums then we may be able to arrange training to help you in your role.

We can assist residents to access a range of training courses both online and in person, many of which are free, that are directly related to resident involvement, such as learning about the Ombudsman’s service and how to set up a residents’ group.

We may be able to cover travel costs and contribute towards any childcare you need to enable you to go.

We will only pay for training that has been agreed by us in writing and which directly benefits you in your role.

Examples of some organisations that offer training to our residents are Tpas, the Housing Ombudsman and 4 million homes.

To find out more or for an informal chat about training, please email getinvolved@newlon.org.uk.
