Day to Day Repairs Manager

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We have an opportunity for an experienced manager to lead our Day to Day Repairs team in the provision of a resident-centred repairs service.

As part of Newlon’s Operational and Strategic Asset Management Team, you will be responsible for the development, management and control of the service. You will deal with customer complaints, ensure an effective service across the Newlon group, manage responsive maintenance in conjunction with the Contracts Manager and undertake regular consultation with customers in order to continually improve the Day to Day service provision.

With a BTEC/SQA National Award, or higher, in a Building/Construction discipline, you will have proven experience in a Building Surveyor Quality Manager, Site Inspector or Clerk of Works role, preferably within the housing sector, and will ideally be a member of ICWCI, RICS, ARB or the CIOB. You will also be experienced in organising/auditing repairs and maintenance, along with knowledge of repairs servicing, construction and service technologies and standards, and practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme. We currently offer the opportunity to work up to 3 days at home (depending on the role). You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.

Closing date: Sunday 23 October 2022 at 23:59

Online assessments will be held between Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 October 2022

Interviews dates: In person at our offices in Hale Village on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 November 2022
