Homes and Lettings Officer – Complex Cases (one year fixed-term contract)

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Homes and Lettings Team in this brand new role. You will manage complex resident cases and act as the main point of contact for vulnerable residents who may be experiencing particular challenges, ensuring that clear aims and objectives are in place for effective case management.

Risk management will also be a key part of your role as you will be overseeing complex cases involving safeguarding concerns and take appropriate steps to reduce risk for both residents and Newlon.

With proven experience of working in a housing or care setting dealing with vulnerable residents where there may be concerns around safeguarding you will have a clear understanding of safeguarding legislation, along with excellent communication skills. You will be at ease dealing with residents and be able to deliver services with kindness, empathy and warmth.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme. We currently offer the opportunity to work up to 3 days at home (depending on the role).  You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
