Special Projects Officer

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator/Project Support Officer with excellent customer service skills to join our Special Projects Team.

The successful candidate will be overseeing Contract Administration duties to support the Project Managers and Head of Service in delivery of ongoing and new projects, this role will involve taking the lead in resident liaison work as well as leading on collating and managing contract data and reporting. As part of the role you will be the main point of contact between the Special Projects Team and residents. You will build and maintain a trusting relationship with residents, ensuring they are proactively kept informed about all planned works, and that all queries are answered promptly and professionally. You will actively facilitate resident engagement on fire safety issues in buildings undergoing inspections or remedial work and create and deliver suitable communication strategies for these buildings, as well as liaise with the external stakeholders and contractors when necessary. The Successful candidate will also, as part of their role, be required to produce reports and collate data on a day to day basis on contract performance and liaise closely with the team to ensure that all data is provided to senior management.

First class administration skills are a must for this role, along with experience in compiling/collating relevant survey material and reports, as well as a good level of understanding of contract performance data analysis and presentation of this to Senior Management. You will be developing and managing programmes of resident involvement and also managing information in reporting trackers. Newlon uses the CRM Dynamic system so a good working knowledge of this and how to use it is also essential. You will also have excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic and the ability to be flexible as the role may require you to work occasional evenings and weekends.

We currently offer the opportunity to work up to 2 days at home (depending on the role).  You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
