Assistant Director – Major Projects

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We have an opportunity for a highly experienced professional to contribute to our corporate goals and play a lead role in the Property Services team.

With responsibility for the strategic development, management and control of major capital defects projects, including fire safety remediation works and large scale refurbishment works within Newlon’s existing housing stock, you will provide Newlon and its customers with cost effective, high quality and customer focussed investment programmes.

With a relevant qualification at Level 4 or above, and preferably membership of a relevant professional body, you will have extensive experience as a surveyor or similar and excellent leadership skills. A proven ability to deliver substantial planned maintenance works programmes and complex construction projects to residential properties is also essential, along with the flexibility to travel from site to site on a regular basis.

We are looking for someone who can bring a fresh pair of experienced eyes and take the lead on finding ways to improve our service goals. If this sounds like you, please download our job pack to find out more.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme.  You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
