Financial Inclusion Manager

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and a major provider of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We believe that it is vitally important that residents who are facing financial hardship, know and understand that we are here to help. We want them to be able to access support delivered with kindness and empathy.

In this new, specialist management role, you will play a major part in providing operational leadership to our network of support for residents, developing and growing our existing systems of support, advocacy and signposting.

Working collaboratively across Newlon, you will take responsibility and advocate for the residents within your remit, offering proactive support and communicating successful outcomes to our executive board who are passionate about this area of our service delivery.

You will be a great team player with a solid track record of working in a similar customer facing role in a housing association, local authority or charity. You will need to have a broad and up to date knowledge of the welfare benefits system and experience in delivering the necessary information and advice in an effective and empathic way to our residents.

With a good understanding of the routines and preparation required for Tribunal or Court attendance in relation to welfare or rent payment assessment, income recovery or housing related issues, you will nurture a customer facing culture which delivers an authoritative but accessible service.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme.  You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.

Closing date: 23:59 on Sunday 11 June 2023

Online assessments will be held between Friday 16 to Tuesday 20 June 2023

Interviews will be held in-person at our offices in Hale Village on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 July 2023
