Health and Safety Lead Coordinator

Description

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We have an opportunity for an experienced health and safety professional to join our Property Management Team.

You will provide strategic support and advice to the executive team and managers on all health and safety related matters, ensuring that all Health and Safety at Work Act and supported regulations are adhered to, and that Newlon meets its statutory, regulatory, legal and moral responsibilities for the health and safety of all key stakeholders and employees.

With an NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent, you will have full membership/chartered status as a recognised health and safety professional with IOSH, IIRSM or equivalent institution, or proven working experience in a health and safety/compliance environment and actively working towards the qualification. You will have excellent up-to-date knowledge of UK health and safety law and regulations, along with first class communication and leadership skills. The ability to travel from site to site on occasions is also essential.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme.  We currently offer the opportunity to work up to 3 days at home (depending on the role).  You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
