Senior Finance Officer (Billing and Debt Collection)

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to ensure the efficient operation of the billing and invoicing services for the Newlon Group. This will involve managing the sales ledger and credit control services, as well as contributing to income budget setting/forecasting and taking responsibility for monthly and periodic reviews of the sales ledger.
You will also assist the Finance Systems Manager at meetings and in ensuring activity and KPI reports are provided within timescales. In addition, you will act as lead contact for Auditors and other professionals regarding invoicing and credit control.
This is a great role for an outstanding, AAT qualified (or equivalent) Senior Finance Officer with a proven successful track record in billing and debt collection. Your thorough understanding of sales ledger and credit control procedures will be key to your success, combined with exceptional communication skills that will enable you to represent the department at meetings, and act as finance training lead in invoicing and debtor management.
You will also need extensive knowledge and experience of using accounting packages such as SUN Accounts and be able to motivate and manage your team, whilst ensuring that deadlines are met and customers are dealt with sensitively and effectively.
