Senior Finance Officer (Billing & Debt Collection)

Description

Providing 8,000 affordable homes across north and east London, Newlon Housing Trust is a fast-growing and award-winning charitable housing association. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do and we are committed to delivering high quality services to meet their needs.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to ensure the efficient operation of the billing and invoicing services for the Newlon Group. This will involve managing the sales ledger and credit control services, as well as contributing to income budget setting/forecasting and taking responsibility for monthly and periodic reviews of the sales ledger.

You will also assist the Finance Systems Manager at meetings and in ensuring activity and KPI reports are provided within timescales. In addition, you will act as lead contact for Auditors and other professionals regarding invoicing and credit control.

This is a great role for an outstanding Senior Finance Officer with a proven successful track record in billing & debt collection. Your thorough understanding of sales ledger and credit control procedures will be key to your success, combined with exceptional communication skills that will enable you to represent the department at meetings, and act as finance training lead in invoicing and debtor management.

The ability to set up and maintain an effective billing timetable is essential, as is the ability to make well balanced decisions on debt collection issues. You’ll also have the knowledge to make recommendations for and implement improvements, as well as the skills to manage and mentor a Finance Officer.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday (pro-rata), a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi-time scheme. You will be working at our purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
